Programming

Languages

From college courses to online certifications, I have learned numerous programming languages, completing various projects with each. I continue to expand my knowledge through online courses with my sights being set on Java, SQL, and C++ next.

HTML & CSS

I was first introduced to HTML and CSS in a middle school technology class. I expanded on this base later in high school when I completed freeCodeCamp's Responsive Web Design Developer Certificate.

VEX

I first used VEX in my high school engineering class when we built and programmed VEX robots to do various tasks. My group always had me do the programming partly because I was the best at it, but also because I hated building with the VEX parts.

MATLAB

MATLAB was an unknown language to me until my second semester of college when the entirety of one of my courses was learning the language. I ended up really enjoying it, as it came naturally to me. For my final project, I combined coding with my passion for travel and created a script that generated a road trip itinerary based off user inputs and preferences.

Python

I've always wanted to learn python, as it was the language I always saw YouTubers creating mini games with, but when I finally learned it, it was for data analysis. I completed Michele Vallisneri's LinkedIn Python Data Analysis course during the summer of 2023, and hope to broaden my knowledge of the language so that I can use it for more applications.

C

C is another language that I learned through LinkedIn courses, this time completing Dan Gookin's C Programming Basics: Flow Control, Variables, and Pointers course. While learning this language, I really enjoyed its simplicity, which is why I now want to also learn C++.
